Yael Ronen studied in Tel Aviv and London, and has performed as a soloist throughout Europe. She has appeared
with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Israeli Philharmonic under conductors Zubin Mehta and Leonard Bernstein.
Burke Schuchmann made his debut in London at age 19, and became principal cellist and soloist with the Salzburger
Solisten in Austria. He has taught at UC Berkeley and is artistic director of Palomarin Chamber Music Foundation.
Brian Ganz has appeared as soloist with such orchestras as the St. Louis Symphony, St. Petersburg Philharmonic (of Russia),
Baltimore Symphony, the National Symphony, City of London Sinfonia, L'Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo, the
National Philharmonic Orchestra and at the Kennedy Center with the Taipei Philharmonic.

Cello Heaven Concert:

8:00 p.m. Concert at Saint Alban’s, Albany, CA
“Cello Heaven”, a choir of cellos directed by Burke Schuchmann.
The concert will include arrangements of Russian choral music, pieces by Bach and Riegger,
and new arrangements for cello ensemble by Tom Fattaruso of Brahms’ final work, the Eleven
Choral Preludes.
Soprano Susan Rode Morris will be featured in Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileires # 5
and the “Pie Jesu” from Faure’s Requiem, arranged for cello ensemble and voice.
The performance will be at Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church,
1501 Washington Avenue, Albany, CA 94707.
$20 donation requested to benefit the organ fund of Saint Alban’s Parish and the Cello Heaven
scholarship fund.
